AMBS Alumni Association (Hong Kong) Annual Dinner cum AGM 2025
The Alliance Manchester Business School Alumni Association (Hong Kong) held their Annual Gala Dinner at The Murray, Hong Kong, a Niccolo Hotel, on 24 October 2025, a night dedicated to celebrating achievements within the community. During this event, they proudly also announced the successful transition of the board chairs and committees, with Prof. Xavier Duran, the MBA Programme Director at AMBS, leading the recognition.
Congratulations to Donna Buckland and Dr. Justin Cheng for their leadership, which will undoubtedly guide the board to great success. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Queenie NG for her dedicated efforts and passions over the past year.
A special thank you must also go to the Annual Dinner Organizing Committee SY CHAN, Briena Kam, Chris Carlin, Kino Fu, Tracy Tsang for their tremendous efforts, including numerous evening visits and weekend progress calls, which made this event a success. Additionally, thank you to our MCs: Alex Bowen, Tim Chan, June Fung, and Tina Cheung, for their engaging contributions.
Thank you to all alumni and current students (two tables this year!) who joined us in this celebration, as well as to the two guests Sabrina Hsieh and Gareth Dooley who flew in from Taiwan for this occasion!
Prof. Sophia Chan’s speech was another highlight among the various speakers, as she shared her journey and reflected on how her University of Manchester qualification has contributed to her achievements and personal growth. We extend our gratitude to Fiona for inviting Prof. Sophia to share her inspiring insights.
