Visit to Hong Kong and Shenzhen with Xavier Duran and Richard Cotton
On 24 October 2025, the East Asia Centre was excited to welcome Professor Xavier Duran, the AMBS MBA Programme Director, and Mr. Richard Cotton, the Director of International Development at the University of Manchester, to Hong Kong and Shenzhen. A highlight of the executives' visit was a tour of our current advertising space, followed by a delightful tram ride as they captured footage for the Centre’s promotional video.
The two-day visit was also packed with other exciting activities, including dinner occassions with our alumni in both cities. Xavier had a pleasure of speaking with a few current students, Alex Bowen and Tom Whelan, and even made a trip to Shekou where he met a very driven GEMBA incoming student for Jan 2026. Olivia and Xavier were also invited to visit the University Town of Shenzhen, a remarkable hub showcasing impressive tertiary education in the region.
