Students from our Global MBA programme (Jan26 cohort) enjoyed an unexpected but memorable addition to their Bento-box lunch during the Operationalizing and Communicating Value (OCV) workshop in Hong Kong on Saturday, 21 March 2026. Professor Duncan Ivison, President and Vice‑Chancellor of the University of Manchester, joined the students for lunch at the East Asia Centre in Causeway Bay, accompanied by Professor Angelia Wilson, Associate Vice‑President (International); Mr Richard Cotton, Director of International Development; Mr Richard Screaton, Deputy Head of Alumni Engagement; and Ms Olivia Chan, Director of the East Asia Centre.
Their presence, despite a full day of institutional, donor, and media commitments, reflected the University’s true commitment to its students — wherever they are from, whatever they study, and whether they attend full or part‑time. It was a moment that underscored the value of staying connected and the importance of community in the student journey.
We hope the conversations and engagement offered a welcome break from intense study life and left lasting memories. See more photos here and if you share any images, please tag #ChallengeAccepted and #GlobalMBA so we can celebrate and amplify these moments together.
