A very warm welcome was given by the The University of Manchester East Asia Centre and local community to Professor Fiona Devine, our Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Dr. Panos Sousounis, Associate Dean (International) of the Faculty of Humanities last evening at the iconic Foreign Correspondents' Club, Hong Kong!
Fiona warmly facilitated the evening's panel seminar where the discussion focused on a powerful theme: Seasoned Wisdom vs. Fresh Ambition. The topic perfectly echoes our latest global achievement. This ranking is a powerful testimonial to how we bridge deep institutional wisdom with forward-thinking young minds to drive all-rounded ESG achievements.
Reflecting on her time away since 2023, Fiona shared how much she missed the city. She warmly congratulated The University of Manchester East Asia Centre on its upcoming 35th anniversary and expressed her wishes for the Centre's continued greatness and success in the region.
A huge thank you to our brilliant panel Richard Johnston, Ruby O and David Tsim. Bringing together unique finance, investment, academic and sustainability perspectives, they generously opened up about their real-life learnings and professional journeys. Their insights offered a powerful blueprint for navigating complex business and global markets while driving practical change.
